Question : Is Darker the Film the better it is in heat rejection?
Not necessarily. Darker film gives the illusion of cooler feel, in it actual fact it absorb more Infra-red into the cabin or room. A good performance film should have high transparency with very high Total Solar Heat Rejection. Dark films compromises your safety of night driving, especially on highway or winding national trunk road. We do not generally recommend dark film due to safety considerations and compliance to local Road Transport Authority regulations (which you may have in your country) |

Question : What is Visible Light Transmittance (VLT%)?
VLT is the amount visible light(at 380-780nm wavelength) that is allowed by the glazed glass to pass through into your car or room. The lower the VLT, the darker the film and the lower the amount of Visible Light passes through your tinted glass.
Under the regulations of the Road Transport Authority of Malaysia (JPJ), Front windscreen must have > 70% VLT and Side & Rear windscreen must have > 50% VLT. |

Question : What does Ecotint Warranty entail?
When installed by Ecotint authorised Installers, Ecotint warranty covers:-
• Peeling, cracking, delamination, fading, decolourization and demetalization
• For 5 to 10 years depends on the specific Ecotint series selected.
Such warranty is void if the product is subjected to scratches, abuse, improper care, loosen window panes, poor grouting, natural disaster or installed by unauthorised installer. |
