RayBarrier is manufactured using nanotechnology, one of the world's most advanced thchnologies in material sciences, which utilises smaller-than-microscopic particles as building blocks. Each ATO particle in RayBarrier is only 10nm* in length. Its diameter is two to three hundredth the wavelength of visible light, making the film virtually colourless and extremely transparent.

RayBarrier has a 58% sunlight radiation transmittance and cuts out more than 95% of heat-bearing NIR. this keeps the temperature in your vehicle at comfortable levels
without needing to blast your air-conditioner.

RayBarrier cuts out heat, not light. Up to 80% of essential VL is let through - well within the RTD requirements for vehicles - giving the dirver a clear and undistorted view of the road.

| UNDERSTANDING TOTAL SOLAR HEAT REJECTION |
Total solar heat, or what we know as natural sunlight, consists of three elements: 54% Infra Red (IR) rays, 43% Visible Light (VL) and 3% Ultra Violet (UV) rays.
IR rays are further divided into two components. Near Infra-Red (NIR) is what bears heat while Far Infra-Red (FIR) is the medium through which remote equipment convey signals.
UV ray are highly damaging. It is widely acknowledged that the sun's UV rays can cause skin cancer and cataracts through prolonged exposure. Similarly, these rays can cause tha fading of vehicle interior fabrics and coloured components.
VL, on the other hand, is absolutely essential. It is VL that allows us to see.
To effectively protect you from the sun, window films need to reject UV rays and NIR rays, while allwing FIR and as much VL through as possible. This intelligent filtering, made possible in RayBarrier through nanotechnology, is known as total solar heat rejection, an industry measurement recommended by the International Window Film Association (IWFA). |
